is a vibrant independent production company specialising in the development and production of programmes in the Entertainment and Factual genres.

The company was founded by Mike Christie and Mike Smith in 2004 after their first collaboration, Jump London.   

Steven D Wright joined Carbon as Creative Director, Entertainment in December 2008 and, soon after, ITV Studios took a minority stake in the Company.  Joe McLusky joined as Managing Director in early 2009.

As a bespoke production company, Carbon has an eclectic range of output from Specialist Factual to Factual Entertainment and large-scale, innovative ‘event' television.  Recently high profile series include Big Art, Jump Britain and The Noughties - Was That It ?

Some of our other titles include The Secrets of The 12 Disciples, Election Unspun : What They're Really Thinking and Guns for Hire.

Recently Carbon produced the series Naked Britain for Sky One, and is now in production of a major 8 x 60" series for the channel called How To Get What You Want.
