As a Producer Steven D Wright was responsible for a string of hit shows including Passengers, The Sunday Show, The Girlie Show, The Best of British and Around the World in 80 Raves, where he first worked with Carbon's Mike Christie. Later, as Channel 4's Commissioning Editor for Factual Entertainment, his shows included the legendary documentary Freddie Starr Ate My Hamster, the critically acclaimed documentary series The Showbiz Set, and the award-wining game show Make My Day as well as ratings winning list show brands like Top Ten TV, The Ultimate Chart and 100 Worst Britons.

A well-known face in the TV industry, he has built a strong reputation as an industry leader in landmark popular factual, entertainment and factual entertainment. This was recently spoofed on the notorious 'TV Controller' blog who wrote 'must hire Steven D Wright - as no-one can do down-at-heel entertainment like he can'. A more respectable accolade came when Variety named him as 'one of the UK's top 25 people in entertainment'.

Over his five years at Shine, he has generated over 63 original commissions including numerous shows for C4. These include Musicool (12 x 60), The Simpsons Quiz (1 x 30) as well The 100 Greatest Musicals (1 x 300) The Truth about Take That (1 x 60) The 100 Greatest Tearjerkers (1 x 210), Abi Titmuss: A Modern Day Morality Tale (1 x 60) and Lucas and Walliams: New Heroes of Comedy (1 x 60).

For BBC2 he was responsible for the highly acclaimed landmark series, The Story of Light Entertainment (8 x 90). Whilst for ITV1 he delivered the prime time documentary Teenage Tourette's Camp (1 x 90) and the 2007 Christmas day special Lights! Camera! The Queen! (1 x 60).

Recently he has enjoyed huge success at BBC3 with his returning list show brand Most Annoying... which has seen five re-commissions and huge ratings. He has also been responsible for recent E4 and Five programmes ranging from acclaimed documentary series The 1970s: That was the decade that was to entertainment specials like Is she really going out with him? (1 x 60) and The World's Greatest Supermodel (1 x 120).

On Sky One commissions include the massive hit Chavs (1 x 60), factual documentary series The Last Hunt (6x 60), history series Life in Death in Rome (8 x 60) and entertainment specials When Celebrities Attract (5 x 60), Charles & Camilla: Madly in Love (1 x 60) and The Secret Life of Suburbia (12 x 60). On multi-channel Bravo his output includes Man's Work (15 x 30) and Sin Cities (10 x 30), whilst on and UKTV he oversaw several series of the newly re-branded The Clothes Show (30 x 60).

Most recently he oversaw another Most Annoying People for Xmas 2008 and Comedy Songs: The Pop Years, a 90 minute documentary for BBC4.
